A little about Rach

My name is Rach Jackson and I am a contemporary abstract artist. I use colour to evoke happiness. I am often told by people that my work makes them feel joy, and that gives me great satisfaction! I really enjoy playing around with different colour combinations whether complimentary or clashing.

I’m mum to 2 grown kids and live on a beautiful country property in Victoria with my husband and daughter, as well as our dogs, cats, chickens and ducks.

I’ve painted for as long as I can remember, but really threw myself into it and decided to take it further in late 2019. I am now working as an artist full time and enjoying every minute of it!

Rach's Dream Investor

I’d love it if my work was bought by someone on The Block. I love the idea of getting my artwork out into the world and seen, and of course it would be completely thrilling to see one of my pieces on TV!

Some of Rach's Favourite Artists

This is a hard one because there are so many great artists that I admire. I really find it hard to name just a couple! There’s two emerging artists who’s work really grabs my attention when I’m scrolling insta, and they’re both called Anna!

There’s Anna Egberts from Geelong who’s bright florals pieces are absolutely uplifting to look at, they are joyous and I absolutely love her work!

Then there’s Anna Price from Sydney who’s abstract works are colourful and eye-catching in the best way! She has such a unique style and I am really looking forward to seeing where her art goes in future.

Rach's Top Tip for Emerging Artists

I think if you really love art, just do a little bit as often as you can. Practice a lot of different styles and mediums until you find what you love.

Don’t start your journey by trying to create perfect pieces every time, just create for the way it makes you feel and you will find that it will actually flow better. Don’t force it. Take it one step at at time, and gradually your art and knowledge will grow and blossom.

I hope you enjoyed hearing about this awesome woman!
