Get ready for a creative adventure! Art with Ros After School Art Club is held at Lane Cove West Public School and open to all children in K–6, from any school.

Here, creativity, self-expression and individuality always come first — every child's own ideas and style are celebrated, not corrected. Through painting, drawing and sculpture, kids explore new materials and build real skills naturally, at their own pace, in a safe, familiar space they genuinely look forward to each week. Each term brings fresh projects and plenty of room for personal expression — perfect for kids who love getting creative.

🖼️ This Term's Focus

This term, your child will explore portraiture — inspired by the Art Gallery of NSW's Young Archie Award. They will paint, draw or collage a portrait of someone special to them, playing with colour, composition and storytelling their own way. No "correct" technique — just their take on someone who matters.

Day & Time: Wednesdays 3:25 PM – 5:15 PM

Term Length: 10 weeks (first session 14 Oct - last session 16 Dec)

Term classes are run by qualified artist Grant Bellamy, joined by Grace or Olivia, who alternate as class assistant. Ros also pops in every second class to check in.

Cost: $450 total (includes all supplies and GST)

My child has never done art classes—can they still join?

Absolutely. Classes suit all skill levels and are designed to help kids explore and gain confidence.

My child has specific support needs—can they attend?

We aim to be inclusive. Please contact Ros before booking to discuss how we can support your child best.

What happens if my child misses a class?

Missed sessions are non-refundable, but projects continue weekly—your child will be able to catch up easily.

What should my child wear?

Most children come straight from school in uniform. Aprons are provided, but mess does happen—please dress them in their least precious uniform option.
