Nature takes my breath away. It's power to ground us, to reconnect us to what matters constantly amazes. Through this artwork I capture just a glimpse of that magic - a snapshot of the living place that hosts us. Through layers of botanical motifs and acrylic paint, this original work was created in my home studio as my daughters slept. Evening painting sessions are a common occurrence in my art practice. There is something empowering about stealing those extra hours and setting space aside for my needs and my passion.
