Here’s what’s coming up 👇

WEDNESDAY 7TH OCTOBER

Morning 9am-12pm: Rainbow Reef Seahorse (Paint on Canvas with Ros)

Bold colour, loose brushwork and a reef full of personality — this workshop is all about painting with confidence, not precision. Inspired by the semi-abstract style of iconic Australian coastal art, kids will use acrylic paint to build up a vibrant seahorse against a hand-painted reef background. There's no "wrong" brushstroke here — just colour, movement and a whole lot of joy. They'll leave with a vivid, one-of-a-kind canvas that looks straight off a gallery wall.

Afternoon 12.30-3.30pm: Enchanted Fairy Cottage (Airdry Clay with Grant, assisted by Ros)

A little bit of magic, built by hand. In this workshop, kids will sculpt their very own toadstool fairy house from air-dry clay — shaping the roof, door and windows before decorating with tiny flowers, hearts and all the whimsical details that make a fairy feel truly at home. Designed to double as a tealight holder, each cottage glows once it's finished, making it as much a keepsake as a craft project. Perfect for imaginative little builders who love a fairytale.

THURSDAY 8TH OCTOBER

Morning 9am-12pm: World's Cutest Capybara (Acrylic on Canvas with Ros)

In this portrait-style workshop, kids will paint their very own capybara close-up, complete with an oversized pair of heart-shaped sunglasses and that famously unbothered expression. Using acrylic paint and a fun feathered brushstroke technique, they'll build up soft, textured fur against a starry, deep-teal night sky. It's a playful mix of painting skill and pure personality — equal parts technique and giggles. A quirky, one-of-a-kind portrait they'll want to hang straight on their bedroom wall.

Afternoon 12.30-3.30pm: Majestic Whale Shark (Airdry Clay with Grant, assisted by Ros)

Meet the gentle giant of the sea! In this sculptural workshop, kids will shape their own whale shark from air-dry clay, then bring it to life with its signature spotted pattern in paint. It's a wonderful mix of hands-on making and fine detail work, perfect for kids who love getting stuck into a proper sculpting project. Each whale shark will be completely unique — spots, personality and all.

MEET THE ARTIST

Hello, I'm Ros!

It's wonderful to meet you! I'm the heart and soul behind Art with Ros, where I get to share my passion for art with budding young artists through our holiday and after school programs.

As a practicing painter with work in three galleries and an artist mentor who loves inspiring creativity and personal growth, I aim to offer more than just fun art workshops. My programs focus on building confidence, nurturing self-esteem, and fostering true creativity - with a dash of art history for good measure!

I'm also a mum to two creative girls, aged 9 and 10, who share my love for art.

I can't wait to meet your little artists and create something special together!
