Here’s what’s coming up 👇

WEDNESDAY 8TH JULY

Morning 9am-12pm: Marimekko-Inspired Tote Bag (Paint on Canvas with Ros)

Bold colour, oversized shapes and joyful florals come together in this playful design workshop inspired by the iconic style of Marimekko. Using fabric paints, custom stencils and maybe even a little puff paint - hello, 90s nostalgia! - kids will create their very own wearable artwork on a canvas tote bag. This is a beautiful workshop for young artists who love colour, pattern and practical creativity. They’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind tote bag they can actually use, carrying their art with them wherever they go.

Afternoon 12.30-3.30pm: Sparkle Dragons in Clay (Airdry Clay with Grant, assisted by Ros)

A celebration of all things magical, mythical and wonderfully sparkly! In this workshop, kids will design their own dragon or mythical creature, then sculpt it from air-dry clay before adding metallics, sequins, gemstones and shimmering details. This class is perfect for children who love imaginative making, character design and a little bit of bedazzled drama. Each creature will be completely unique - because when it comes to sparkle, more is definitely more.

THURSDAY 9TH JULY

Morning 9am-12pm: Magical Northern Lights (Mixed Media on Paper with Ros)

This calming and mesmerising art session combines the soft magic of watercolour with the bold impact of acrylic paint. Kids will learn how to create the illusion of glowing Northern Lights using layered watercolour techniques, then complete their artwork with striking painted details. This workshop is both soothing and skill-building, giving children the chance to slow down, experiment with colour and create a beautiful finished artwork they’ll feel genuinely proud to bring home.

Afternoon 12.30-3.30pm: Melting Paddlepop in Clay (Airdry Clay with Grant, assisted by Ros)

Possibly one of the most fun themes yet! In this playful sculptural workshop, kids will explore the world of illusion art as they design and create their own dream paddle pop from air-dry clay - complete with drips, texture and melting details. Each piece will be completely unique, colourful and full of personality. It’s a fantastic workshop for children who love hands-on making, quirky ideas and art that makes people look twice.

MEET THE ARTIST

Hello, I'm Ros!

It's wonderful to meet you! I'm the heart and soul behind Art with Ros, where I get to share my passion for art with budding young artists through our holiday and after school programs.

As a practicing painter with work in three galleries and an artist mentor who loves inspiring creativity and personal growth, I aim to offer more than just fun art workshops. My programs focus on building confidence, nurturing self-esteem, and fostering true creativity - with a dash of art history for good measure!

I'm also a mum to two creative girls, aged 9 and 10, who share my love for art.

I can't wait to meet your little artists and create something special together!
